women

We have a variety of opportunities for women to grow in their faith at RCC. In addition to women's small groups that meet together, we also offer Bible classes, elective studies, and Bible studies geared particularly for women.

Women's Bible Classes, 9:15 am Sundays

M & Ms Class ("Marys & Marthas")

traveling lightThe M & Ms class meets in Room 219 and is currently using Max Lucado's recent book to explore how God cares for us.

"Weary travelers. You’ve seen them-everything they own crammed into their luggage. Staggering through terminals and hotel lobbies with overstuffed suitcases, trunks, duffels, and backpacks. Backs ache. Feet burn. Eyelids droop. We’ve all seen people like that. At times, we are people like that--if not with our physical luggage, then at least with our spiritual load. We all lug loads we were never intended to carry. Fear. Worry. Discontent. No wonder we get so weary. We’re worn out from carrying that excess baggage. Wouldn’t it be nice to lose some of those bags? That’s the invitation of Max Lucado." With the 23rd Psalm as our guide, let’s release some of the burdens we were never intended to bear. The M&Ms are led by Cindy Upchurch and meets in Room 219 @ 9:15 am on Sundays.

Friendship Circle Class

This group of senior ladies has met together for years and enjoys being together and studying God's word together. These women have a lot of fun together as they study and care for one another. New ladies are always welcome! They meet in Room 214 and are currently exploring the relationship between Christ and his creation from Ezekiel, Luke, Acts and Ephesians.

 The Frazzled Female

The Frazzled Female elective study is designed especially for women. By sitting at the feet of Jesus and absorbing His teaching, women will be able to deal with essential issues like managing their time, getting along with difficult people, taking time for themselves, and even organizing their lives.

This thought-provoking, yet light-hearted, study helps women discover practical, biblical help to confront issues that otherwise leave them discouraged. It helps participants develop biblical skills to handle stressful situations; grow in their relationship with Jesus; and ultimately experience peace, joy, and a saner lifestyle.

Led by Nancy Holloway, this study meets on Sundays @ 10:45 in Room 219.
