Up for Some Family Time?
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says, "These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them upon your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” We would like to help that happen, within your family, believing with all our hearts that the family is the primary place where this teaching should happen. We are looking for families who would be willing to give this a try.
The church will provide a set of materials produced by Family Times that will "help equip parents with easy to use tools to make the most of everyday moments together." The tools provided are designed to be used once a week during some specific family times such as mealtime, drivetime, bedtime, and morningtime and “are based on the biblical model that teaches that the home should be the primary place where a child learns about God.” If you are interested in picking up some materials, contact Mike Jakaitis.
